Back Up the Range Extender Settings
Once you open the browser of your system
and entering the web address www.mywifiext.netsetup. Then go to the Maintenance
heading and select the Backup Settings to display the screen.
By clicking on the Backup and Restore
options in the Backup screen allows you to retrieve and save a file containing
your range extender’s configuration settings.
You need to back up the information that you have to make it available
if something went wrong. All the
information on your computer will be saved as files on your computer when you
have back up the settings. You can
restore the device’s settings from this file.
Back up the Settings
• By
clicking on the Backup. The browser that
you use will automatically extract the configuration files of the system from
the range extender.
• You
can locate a place in your computer where you want to save the downloaded files
if you don’t want your browser set up to save the downloaded files
automatically.
• You
can also give a meaningful name to the file, such as internet_adapter.cfg.
Restore the settings
• Click
on the Browse button on the Backup Settings screen.
• Then
you have to locate and select the previously saved backup file.
• After
that click on the Restore.
The screen displays a message in front of
you letting you know that your device has been successfully restored to the
previous settings. The range extender
will take about one minute to restart.
Please note that while doing this don’t try
to go online, turn off the range extender, shutting down the computer, or doing
anything else to your range extender until the restarting process
finishes.
• To
restore the settings from the configuration file, you need to enter the full
path of the file on your computer. After
you located the file click Restore to send the file to the range extender. This will reboot the range extender
automatically.
